We started trading in 1999 and market our products to the international and local wholesale market. We produce and source only the best quality and most sought-after products at competitive prices. Our dedicated team provides a specialist and personalised service to our customers. We source only the best quality flowers from our growers, who produce according to the highest export standards. Our products can be combined with many other varieties of flowers and foliages to create inspiring and beautiful arrangements or bouquets. Our growers deliver directly to our facilities at the Cape Town International Airport where our customer's orders are consolidated and shipped to their destinations. Our company is family based and has its roots in the production and farming of the finest quality Proteas for over 50 years. Calenick Farm was purchased by Sir Lewis Michell in 1916 and was originally a fruit farm. Her son, Bryan Michell, took over the farming enterprise in 1997 and has expanded into the international and local trade of flowers through the company Cape Mountain Flora. The farm is well known for the development and production of the hybrid Protea Venus; a chance crossing of Protea aristata and Protea repens. We have various partners in South Africa around the globe producing Venus under license with us. Our dedicated staff are focussed on producing the highest quality flowers. We grow a number of varieties with Venus being our flagship flower. We are continuously striving to improve and update our growing methods to produce the healthiest plants and the most beautiful flowers. Our export and distribution office is situated at Cape Town International Airport. Our production facility is situated 45 minutes from Cape Town on Calenick Farm in the Stellenbosch area.
