Nonke Plants means "Our Plants" or "Plants for All". As a wholesale nursery, mines, property developers, farms, municipalities, garden centres, we only sell to nurseries, landscape architects and contractors. We were previously known as Weltevrede Nursery, but changed our name in 2006 as a staff empowerment initiative.Our mission is to become the biggest, non-specializing wholesale nursery in the Western Cape by providing our clients with quality plants and services.

We are the biggest non-specializing wholesale plant nurseries in the Western Cape. We sell to retail nurseries, landscapers, farmers, and developers. Our mission is to improve plant quality, improve service delivery and expand our product lines to satisfy our clients. We sell to nurseries, garden centers, municipalities, farms, property developers, landscapers and contractors. We stock ground covers, ornamental grasses, shrubs, standards, trees, climbers and Atlantic fertilizers. Delivery: Orders over R1000 are charged 15% delivery on the total value of the plants. We sell to retail nurseries, landscapers, farmers and developers. We focusing on building long term relationships and putting the customer at the centre of everything we do. Staff development to provide these services is a high priority for our business. Amanda has been in the plant industry her whole life. She obtained her diploma in horticulture from the Pretoria Technicon and with more than 24 years trade experience we welcomed her to our sales team in Amanda is mainly on the road visiting clients which consist out of retailers, nurseries, developers and municipalities. She is responsible for all the Gauteng customers as well. Lea has been working at Nonke Plants for over 20 years. With her plant knowledge, warm smile and motherly nature, she is a favorite amongst many clients and personnel members. She works mainly with landscapers, landscape architect, developers and is responsible for all the Eastern Cape customers. Gardening and an interest in plants are in my blood. My childhood garden had an extensive succulent collection, cut flowers plus all manner of vegetables and fruit. The pull of my landscaping hobby was stronger than a career in commerce which was my field of study. Time spent at the nursery in beautiful Devon Valley is not merely a job, it has become an important part of my life.
