Members of the auditing profession since 1978 both Loubser brothers had been directors of the international firm PWC. They seized the opportunity to provide the kind of expertise found in a big accounting firm, but with the personal attention only a small firm can offer effectively. Since this time, Exceed has grown to a group structure that spans every accounting and finance requirement, from personal wealth creation to corporate growth strategies, while remaining big enough to count, yet small enough to care. The IRBA is the statutory body controlling that part of the accountancy profession involved with public accountancy in the Republic of South Africa. It is important to stress that all entrants to the public accountancy profession are subject to consistent requirements. Following qualification, accountants entering into public practice are required to register with the IRBA and are governed by its regulations. CIMA is the world’s largest and leading professional body of management accountants with 172,000 members and students in 165 countries. Members and students work in industry, commerce and not for profit organizations. SAIT is a non-profit, voluntary body that provides a wide range of services to its members and the general public. The Independent Regulatory Board for Tax Practitioners (IRBTP) to be constituted in terms of the draft Tax Practitioners Bill will be the statutory body that will control that part of the tax profession involved with public practice in the Republic of South Africa. It is the professional qualifying body for Chartered Secretaries offering an international qualification recognised in more than 70 countries. The career-long programme of study comprises a number of standalone qualifications and continuing professional development, each of which renders graduates employable at any stage along the education continuum, and which, when accumulated, can lead to the premier qualification of Chartered Secretary. As one of South Africa's foremost accountancy institutes, SAIPA plays a very important role in ensuring that its members are able to optimise their accountancy practices or add value to their employers in the corporate world, and, by so doing, create additional wealth for the country and its people. The IIA, established in 1941, is the leading non-profit professional body representing the interests of internal auditors worldwide and is the internationally recognised authority, principal educator and acknowledged leader in certification, research and technological guidance for the internal auditing profession. The IIA is creator and custodian of the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditors, and the Code of Ethics to which all members must adhere. It is dedicated to the education and advancement of internal auditors, and dynamically promotes and develops the profession. The FSB is a unique independent institution established by statute to oversee the South African Non-Banking Financial Services Industry in the public interest. The FSB is committed to promote and maintain a sound financial investment environment in South Africa.
