Being the second oldest town in South Africa, Stellenbosch is steeped in history. The town of Stellenbosch dates back to 1679 and the first vineyards were planted in With over 200 wine producers in the valley, this is truly the pulsating heart of the country’s wine industry, where both connoisseurs and novice wine-drinkers can equally enjoy the fruits of our vines. Many of our cellars offer wine-tastings, tours and cellar door sales (many will ship wine right to your door), and some have restaurant and picnic facilities, accommodation, gift shops, art galleries, amphitheatres and even wildlife experiences. Stop for wine-tasting, take a walk through the vineyards, go on a wine safari, blend your own wine and make a personalised label for your Cape Blend, or learn about the art of wine-making from the perspective of a local farmer. Besides its award-winning wines, this Somerset West Estate is known for its history spanning over 300 years and natural beauty. All wine estates in the Western Cape are beautiful and all have unique terroir. However, we believe that DeMorgenzon is the most extraordinary of them all. Tucked into the exquisite Knorhoek Valley north of Stellenbosch, Muratie Wine Estate, under the stewardship of Rijk Melck and his family, has been at the heart of a lot of passionate debate. The Latin name for Alto is a reference to the altitudes of our vineyards and the estate’s own aspirations of excellence. From the sun-washed slopes of the renowned wine-growing region of Stellenbosch comes a world-class range of wines with a flash of new-world French inspiration. Hand sorting the grapes at Le Bonheur has remained our tradition. Welcome to our luxury Winelands experience at Delaire Graff Estate, a world-leading destination for wine, art and hospitality in an unrivalled setting. Our range of reds and whites are produces with passion and the range includes two red blends and a sparkling wine. Warwick Wine Estate is a family owned and run winery that offers a high quality boutique operation.
